Milwaukee - May 21, 2007 The Illinois Bankers Association (IBA) will hold its116th Annual Conference & Trade Show from June 13-15, 2007, at the Keystone Resort & Conference Center in Keystone, Colorado. ProcessArc cofounders Sheila Shaffie and Shahbaz Shahbazi will lead a discussion on how Six Sigma has been leveraged in retail banking and lending. Over 36% of financial services executives, in a recent survey, indicated that narrowing margins and increasing operating costs are of utmost concern to them. Meanwhile, an increasing number of banks - irrespective of asset size – are leveraging the Six Sigma methodology to save millions in operational costs while realizing improved customer service. Some confusion in the marketplace - What is the difference between a Business Analyst (BA)?

and a Black Belt (BB) The role of a Business Analyst is quite common in the financial sector - that is not so much the case with other sectors. Sometimes when it comes to execution of large-scale projects, the first reaction of financial firm is to throw a BA at it. "Let them analyze the process and collect business requirements", as if we are already in the Analyze or Improve phase of a project. Other times, there seems to be downright confusion about the role of a BB vs. a BA.
